Yale Professor Andrew Metrick talks financial stability on the SRB in 5 podcast

On this episode of the Single Resolution Board (SRB) in 5, guest is Andrew Metrick, an American economist who is the current Janet L. Yellen Professor of Finance and Management at the Yale School of Management.


His research has touched on topics including game theory, venture capital and private equity, and most recently on financial stability. He is also the director of the Yale Program on Financial Stability, a research group with a mission “to create, disseminate, and preserve knowledge about financial crises.”

The SRB is the central resolution authority within the Banking Union, which at present is 20 eurozone countries and Bulgaria. Together with the national resolution authorities it forms the Single Resolution Mechanism. The SRB works closely with the European Commission, the European Central Bank, the European Banking Authority and national authorities.
