Relief applications and documents to be lodged through ASIC Regulatory Portal from 27 July

The Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) are making changes to the way applications for relief and various fundraising and corporate finance documents are submitted to them.

 

On 27 July 2020, the ASIC Regulatory Portal will replace the current submission channels as the primary method to submit these documents and applications.

 

Details about the new portal transactions are on the ASIC applications for relief and fundraising and corporate finance documents webpages. The transactions will be ready to use in the portal from 27 July 2020.

 

About the ASIC Regulatory Portal

 

The ASIC Regulatory Portal will become your central access to ASIC’s growing suite of regulatory services.

 

Anyone needing to use the portal to transact with ASIC will need to register their own account.

 

Selecting the ‘I just want to register’ tile on the registration page is an easy way to set up an account.

Benefits of using the portal:

 

  • Structured online transactionsthat make it easier for stakeholders to ensure the information ASIC requires is provided upfront
  • Easily attach supporting documentation
  • Track the statusof transactions
  • Messaging feature that records correspondence with ASICabout submitted transactions
  • Fee estimates automatically calculated based on the information provided in the transaction
  • Online paymentoptions for some transactions and a record of invoice history
  • Users can invite othersto act on their behalf in the portal
  • Various access optionsso only select users can see and access transactions in the portal.
