London Capital & Finance to withdraw marketing materials

Dec 13th '18

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has directed London Capital & Finance plc (LCF) to withdraw all of it’s existing  marketing materials in relation to LCF’s Fixed Rate ISA or Bond.

If a financial promotion or advert is misleading, the FCA has legal powers under s137S of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 to:

  • get it withdrawn, or
  • prevent it from being used in the first place

Financial Promotions that fail to adhere to the rules can pose a material risk to all companies. At the same time, effective marketing is crucial for any financial services firm.

We can be retained by authorised and non-authorised firms. This service is particularly useful for firms which do not have the in-house resource to dedicate to the process, particularly if it is not a core service line of the business.
